Real World Learning

The Real World Learning Network develops and promotes approaches to outdoor learning for young people to help them engage with the world around them and experience it with all their senses.

Science can only describe a flowering cherry tree; it cannot help us experience the cherry tree in its totality. To develop love and concern for the earth, we need deep, absorbing nature experiences; otherwise, our relationship with nature will remain distant and abstract and never touch us deeply.

My contribution: Translating the network’s website and various materials into German, including a bit of artwork and layout. The German materials are also available from ANU.
