Teachers’ education can be a very theoretical affair in Germany, and this is especially true of German as a Foreign Language. It is one thing to know about concepts like “activating the learner” and a completely different matter to stand in front of a class and to say and do the right thing at the right moment.
As I enjoyed an excellent hands-on training at Teacher Training Institute Freiburg and would like to pass on this wonderful experience, I decided to design a short programme for German teachers, which can be completed while on the job.
